"Bloom Tangle" is a vivid, large-scale work bursting with the raw energy of a garden in full eruption. Crimson poppies swell and bleed across the upper field while a tangle of dark, sinuous branches weaves through cascading clusters of blue and lavender blossoms, punctuated by sharp strokes of acid yellow. The composition pulls the eye in every direction at once, upward into the red storm, inward through the branching lattice, and downward into pools of soft green. There is wildness here, but also intimacy: the scale forces the viewer inside the canopy rather than in front of it.
